As a no-kill shelter with limited space, we must carefully balance how many cats we can accept while at the same time providing the best environment for the cats that are already in our care. We maintain an average population of about 85 cats at the shelter and have some cats who stay with us for months or years. We also rely on local foster homes to care for some of our cats - hundreds of kittens every year as well as a small number of senior and special needs adults.
