Thanks to the incredible generosity of our donors, we not only reached our initial $75,000 Spring Fundraiser goal, we surpassed it—and when we raised the bar to $100,000, our supporters met that challenge as well! As a nonprofit organization that receives no public funding, we rely entirely on the compassion and commitment of our community to help the cats in our care survive, thrive, and find loving homes. We are deeply grateful for this continued support.

2025 Yard Sale News

Mark your calendar for HART’s biggest fundraising event of the year! From Thursday, August 7th to Sunday, August 10th, the 10,000 sq ft Exhibition Hall at the Cumberland Fairgrounds will be packed with thousands of donated items—vintage items, antiques, furniture, sporting goods, home décor, small appliances, clothing, toys, books, tools, garden gear, and more.

Every dollar raised supports the care of the hundreds of cats HART rescues each year.

Thank you to this year's Yard Sale Sponsors:

All proceeds go directly to providing essential care for the hundreds of cats we take in every year.

Love Cats? Join Our Med Tech Volunteer Team!

HART is looking for dedicated volunteers to join our Medical Technician team. Med Techs help keep our cats healthy by administering daily medications (including insulin), providing treatments, and monitoring their overall well-being.

→   We're looking for volunteers who:   ←

Have experience with cats

Are detail-oriented, organized, and independent

Can follow instructions and stay focused—
even with cats around

Shifts are available mornings and evenings throughout the week, with our greatest need on Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays. Medical experience is helpful but not required; we’ll provide comprehensive training.

Being a Med Tech Volunteer is an excellent opportunity to make a difference, gain hands-on experience, and connect with fellow animal lovers.
